New Castle Downtown wants to celebrate moms while also bringing spring to Broad Street.

The non-profit organization is dedicated to renewing, growing and promoting downtown New Castle. Through the end of the month, sponsors can help be a part of that process.

New Castle Downtown has more than 20 flower pots around the heart of New Castle.

Director Carrie Barrett is working with a local florist to plant and maintain flowers in these large planters for the summer months.

“We’re working to make downtown attractive and vibrant because we believe that a vibrant, clean and safe downtown is essential for the health and economy for the entire community,” Barrett said.

The flowers will require watering and maintenance for the next few months to help the downtown aesthetic.

Sponsors can help Broad Street “bloom” with a donation of $50, $100 or $150.

At the first level of sponsorship, a loved one of the donor’s choice will receive a Mother’s Day card from New Castle Downtown highlighting the contribution to the city.

A donation of $100 will also include acknowledgement on social media.

A $150 donation to “Blooms on Broad Street” will include a Mother’s Day card, social media acknowledgement and special thanks on the organization’s website.

“Blooms on Broad Street” sponsors should submit their information by May 1.

Donations can be made by clicking here. New Castle Downtown is a 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
