Dog Days of Summer Fourth Friday: A Paws-itively Perfect Event at 1400 Plaza!

The summer heat was no match for the wagging tails and joyful barks at our Dog Days of Summer Fourth Friday event held at 1400 Plaza. This inaugural celebration was an absolute treat for both our two-legged and four-legged friends.

Paw-some Activities and Treats

Doggos enjoyed pup cups from New Castle Main Street, and State Farm’s Amy Glaser added an artistic flair to the event with her innovative “paw art” station. Dogs dipped their paws in pet-safe paint and created masterpieces that owners could take home as a memento of the day. This creative activity was a hit, with dogs eagerly participating and owners proudly displaying their pets’ unique artwork.

Splashing Around and Showing Off

F.C. Tucker went above and beyond by setting up a splash pad specifically for our furry friends. The splash pad provided a much-needed cool-down for the dogs, who enjoyed playing with new friends.

The fun continued with a pet parade that showcased the personality and charm of each participating dog. Dogs of all shapes and sizes strutted their stuff with their adorable outfits and wagging tails.

Live Music and Community Spirit

No summer event is complete without live music, and our Fourth Friday celebration was no exception. Rose City Salvage, with special guest Beau Barnett, provided the perfect soundtrack for the evening, that had both humans and pets tapping their feet (and paws) to the beat.

Celebrating Our Community

The Dog Days of Summer Fourth Friday was a celebration of community and the special bond between people and their pets. This special event is part of New Castle Main Street’s goal of creating a destination for concentrated residential living. Including pets in our downtown is one way we believe we can show people how wonderful downtown living is!

We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, Henry County Farmer’s Market, Ink & Ale, MRS Heating and Cooling, State Farm and a special thanks to Downtown Dog for sponsoring and coordinating this fun event!

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and we look forward to seeing you and your pets at future events!
